celebrating the rich equine heritage and rodeo traditions of cowgirls and cowboys of color.
Frankie’s Corner Little Thoroughbred Crusade is a 501(c)3 youth development program, established in 2015, that uses the joy and discipline of working with horses to teach essential life skills like leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and mental health coping strategies. Our mission is to inspire and empower young individuals through equine-based activities, fostering personal growth and confidence along the way.
Dream Warriors Project, also non-profit based, assists young people develop the character traits and leadership skills necessary to reach their full potential, create a blueprint to achieve success, make the best choices when faced with adversity and life’s overwhelming challenges; and ultimately become responsible citizens who contribute positively to our communities. It reinforces the importance of integrity, dedication, honesty and the pursuit of excellence in every endeavor.
Working together community partners, the Michigan Heritage Rodeo exposes youth to the many educational and career opportunities in the equine field and beyond.
We have curated a group of dedicated community leaders and equine enthusiasts with more than 200 years of combined amateur and professional experience as riders, horse trainers, riding instructors, competitive riders, rodeo and event producers; and other industry professionals to present The Michigan Heritage Rodeo – A Salute to Cowgirls & Cowboys of Color!.
