Founded in 2002 by Lansing native Desmond Ferguson, Moneyball Sportswear (@moneyballsportswear) has grown into a nationally recognized brand known for high-quality team apparel and custom uniforms.

Ferguson’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident from an early age. A standout basketball player, he began his collegiate career on scholarship at the University of Missouri before transferring to the University of Detroit Mercy. His talent and drive took him around the world — playing professional basketball in 11 countries — and ultimately earning a spot in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Even during his time on the court, Ferguson had his sights set on building a business. Inspired by his AAU nickname “Moneyball” and fueled by a passion to innovate in the athletic wear industry, he turned that dream into a reality.
